The industry is currently going through a change in technology and security with the implementation of smart cards

Within the next year, your credit/debit cards will have a small "microchip" embedded inside, which is designed to prevent fraudulent transactions. The industry term for this change is EMV and it is mandated by Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Currently, 99% of the ATM and POS equipment used in the USA to process credit and debit card transactions is not compliant with the EMV mandate.

Therefore, it will need to be up-graded or replaced. This means there is an incredible opportunity for a high-energy individual to enter the field and build a portfolio of business in record time. There is a wide-open market for equipment and service that the industry has not seen since its inception.
