DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL INFLUENCER MARKETING & PR

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Director of Global Influencer Marketing & PR to join our team. In this role, we are seeking a strategic, data-driven leader to own our global influencer marketing and public relations strategy, driving brand awareness, cultural relevance, and business growth across key international markets. The Director of Global Influencer Marketing & PR will drive growth in new markets, oversee global events, cultivate brand ambassadors, manage media relations and PR agency partnerships, and optimize both paid and organic influencer programs to maximize EMV, ROI, and brand impact.

HYBRID: This role is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standard Act’s overtime requirement and is open to candidates based in California. While the position is primarily remote, it follows a hybrid schedule requiring occasional in-person work in Culver City, CA 90230. The role requires working in PST hours, so candidates located on the West Coast are preferred. A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free from significant distractions are essential for remote work.

What You’ll Do:

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and execute a scalable global influencer strategy that accelerates growth in new international markets.
  • Lead collaboration with international PR agencies to expand reach, secure placements, and manage market-specific challenges.
  • Identify and onboard high-potential brand ambassadors for paid partnerships across regions, ensuring alignment with brand values and launch priorities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute global events, launch parties, and creator activations that amplify product stories across markets.
  • Scale and optimize the organic seeding program in each market to generate earned media value (EMV) and high-quality UGC.
  • Ensure timely and accurate product information, assets, and launches to creators and press.
  • Work with the Operations team to manage shipment fulfillment, tracking, and monthly shipment dashboards.
  • Monitor inventory, lead times, and regional differences to ensure timely delivery for campaigns and events.
  • Manage press coverage and key PR moments; cultivate relationships with editors, journalists, and media partners across regions.
  • Provide comprehensive monthly recaps and performance reports for leadership, with insights and recommended optimizations.
  • Plan, administer, and optimize monthly budgets for global influencer campaigns and events.
  • Monitor spend against forecasts, reconcile invoices, and report on ROI and EMV contributions.
  • Develop and execute a global PR strategy that supports product launches, brand storytelling, and international expansion.
  • Lead and manage global and regional PR agency partners, establishing KPIs and ensuring consistent execution across markets.
  • Oversee press events, media previews, executive visibility opportunities, and brand communications initiatives that drive earned media impact.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Social, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure cohesive messaging across influencer and PR channels.

Non-Essential Job Functions

  • Direct the development and execution of a scalable influencer strategy that accelerates entry and growth in new international markets, partnering with regional PR agencies to secure placements and local relevance.
  • Own planning and execution of global events, launches, and creator experiences that drive cross-market impact, strong press coverage, and measurable engagement, with rigorous post-event analysis.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage brand ambassadors for paid partnerships across regions; build a sustainable, high-quality creator pool that fuels EMV and consistent UGC production.
  • Own monthly EMV, ROI, and KPI reporting; translate insights into actionable optimizations across paid and organic programs, ensuring alignment with company OKRs and budget discipline.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 6+ years in influencer marketing, brand partnerships, or global communications with leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven track record driving influencer programs in multiple international markets, preferably within beauty, skincare, or cosmetics.
  • Demonstrated impact on EMV, ROI, brand awareness, and revenue through global activations.
  • Strong ability to translate business goals into actionable global influencer strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with influencer marketing platforms, analytics, attribution models, and media value measurement.
  • Proven experience leading both influencer marketing and public relations programs within the beauty, skincare, or cosmetics industry.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, earned media strategy, press event execution, and PR measurement.
  • Established relationships with beauty, lifestyle, and consumer media outlets, editors, and industry tastemakers.
