What you'll own
  • Drive the successful validation and certification of payment devices and peripherals, ensuring reliable, secure and high-performing solutions that support business growth and exceptional client experiences.
  • Lead the onboarding and readiness of new hardware platforms, accelerating time-to-market and enabling quality engineering teams to efficiently test and launch innovative payment solutions.
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve complex device, firmware, software and connectivity issues, improving product stability, reducing operational risk and enhancing overall solution quality.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive device testing strategies and coverage, ensuring hardware compatibility, performance and reliability across a diverse payment ecosystem.
  • Influence continuous improvement across hardware quality processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to increase testing effectiveness, improve operational efficiency and drive innovation.

What you'll bring
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, hardware testing, device management, technical support or a related technical field with demonstrated success delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting payment devices, point-of-sale (POS) systems, mobile devices or related hardware, with a strong focus on quality and reliability.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, defect management and test planning, with the ability to identify risks and drive effective outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, including Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Ethernet and Wi-Fi, with the ability to diagnose connectivity-related issues.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with PAX, Ingenico, Castles, Verifone or similar payment terminals;
  • Knowledge of EMV, contactless/NFC and payment processing concepts;
  • Experience with firmware updates, device certification and hardware validation;
  • Experience with POS, restaurant, retail or kiosk environments;

It's a bonus if you have
  • Experience working with payment terminal platforms such as PAX, Ingenico, Castles or Verifone.
  • Knowledge of EMV, contactless/Near Field Communication (NFC) and payment processing technologies.
  • Experience with hardware automation, certification testing, firmware validation, Python scripting or tools such as Jira, qTest and GitHub.
