Legal Assistant Employment Litigation (FEHA)

The Opportunity
Join our Employment Single Action team and help advocate for employees facing wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace violations.
As a Legal Assistant, you will work closely with attorneys and partners throughout every stage of litigation. This role is ideal for an experienced legal professional who can confidently manage a high-volume caseload, stay ahead of critical deadlines, and provide responsive support to both clients and the litigation team.
This is a hybrid position that may be based in Los Angeles, Torrance, Irvine, Oakland, San Diego, or Sacramento.
What Youll Do
  • Support attorneys through all phases of employment litigation
  • Calendar and track court dates, filing deadlines, and case milestones
  • Prepare and finalize documents for filing in state and federal courts
  • Assist with discovery, pleadings, complaints, motions, and notices
  • Communicate professionally with clients, experts, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date electronic case files
  • Assist with trial preparation as needed
What Were Looking For
  • At least two years of Legal Assistant experience in employment litigation
  • Experience with wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or related FEHA matters
  • Working knowledge of California court rules, litigation procedures, and e-filing
  • Ability to draft, edit, proofread, and finalize legal documents
  • Strong calendaring, organizational, and case-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume, paperless environment
  • Trial preparation experience is a plus
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
Compensation
$52,000$85,000 annually, depending on experience.
