We're looking for a proactive Onboarding Specialist to help our security officers start their careers with confidence and clarity.

Role Overview: As a Security Officer Onboarding Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for new hires. Your role ensures that all security personnel are fully prepared, trained, and equipped to succeed from day one. You will coordinate the onboarding process, maintain compliance with licensing and training requirements, and support new employees as they integrate into our team. Full time, M-F, dayshift position. 1+YEARS OFFICE EXPERIENCE in this type of work is a MUST! You will not be considered without meeting this requirement. This is not a beginner position. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the onboarding process for all new security officer hires from offer acceptance through first day.
  • Control uniform inventory, uniform check-in and check-out process, uniform ordering.
  • Ensure all licensing, background checks, certifications, and compliance documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Conduct orientation sessions, including company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
  • Coordinate initial drug testing at local lab, fingerprint appointments, licensing applications, training schedules, and track progress of certifications.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires, answering questions and providing guidance.
  • Collaborate with management to identify onboarding improvements and ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports of onboarding activities and compliance documentation.
  • Monthly newsletter - new content creation - reminders, kudos, think "fun" content and dissemination of it to the staff.
  • Employee of the Month - working with Admin to select EOM, request the EOM bio for newsletter, content creation specific to that EOM.
  • Working in the WA. ST. SAW account, ESD, and L&I often.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in HR, training, or employee onboarding (security experience a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of security industry requirements and licensing processes preferred.
  • Outlook email, Word docs & Excel spreadsheet use daily.
