Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Emerging Technology Security Manager, the Emerging Technology Security Architect works in collaboration with all functional areas relative to emerging technology security architecture, including AI systems, IoT platforms, medical devices, cloud infrastructure, and other emerging technologies within Henry Ford Health (HFH). The position provides architectural guidance and design leadership for security controls and frameworks while ensuring alignment with healthcare regulations and security best practices. It is expected that the Emerging Technology Security Architect will design security architectures, establish standards, and develop frameworks for securing emerging technology deployments. This position will work in a collaborative effort with IT, Enterprise Architecture team, Cloud Security team, and Medical Device Security team to ensure security architectures follow policies, applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, this role will work closely with other members of the SOC and IPSO teams to develop comprehensive security architecture for emerging technology deployments. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems (or equivalent) is required. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of eight (8) years direct and hands on experience in security architecture with focus on emerging technologies. Strong experience in designing secure architectures for: AI/ML systems and platforms. IoT and medical device networks. Cloud and hybrid environments. Edge computing deployments. Experience with security architecture frameworks and methodologies: SABSA. TOGAF. Zero Trust Architecture. NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Strong experience with architectural considerations for: Network Security: Next gen firewalls, microsegmentation, NDR. Cloud Security: Multi cloud security, CNAPP, CASB. IoT/Medical Device Security: Network segmentation, device security platforms.AI/ML Security: Model security, MLOps security, data protection. Experience with healthcare regulations and security frameworks. Strong understanding of emerging technology trends and security implications. Experience developing enterprise security standards and patterns. Proven track record of creating detailed architectural documentation.
