Role Description: The Email Marketing Developer is responsible for the B2B Email Marketing programs for CoStar targeted marketing campaigns. This individual will work on multiple email projects to include creating templates in HTML, campaign set-up and launch, and testing and analysis. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about email and is excited to bring forward and test new ideas. The ideal candidate can hit the ground running using best practices for email development in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). This person will need to have critical workflow management and organization to meet stringent deadlines and stakeholders' expectations. Qualified candidates will be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This position reports to Web Development Manager. This position will be onsite in our Arlington, VA office. Responsibilities: Deliver email coding and template development with HTML/CSS. Work across multiple teams (product marketing, creatives, data analysts, and CRM) to execute campaign creation and analysis. Translate email campaign performance into actionable insights for business owners Proactively identify optimization opportunities and recommend test hypotheses Coordinate with the design team and data team to deliver email campaigns on schedule. Own readability and accurate rendering across all major email clients and devices. Create testing scenarios (A/B or Multivariate) for creative and copy testing to optimize and grow CoStar's email marketing practice. Manage the set-up of email journeys, content and message optimization, list segmentation, deployment, and reporting. Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, responsive design, email testing, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as required. Stay current on and recommend email marketing best practices with coding, design, and testing of email campaigns. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an in-person accredited, not-for-profit University or College required; MBA preferred. 4+ years of relevant experience in email marketing. A track record of commitment to prior employers. Experience testing email rendering across multiple email clients and platforms using Litmus or similar. 2+ years of experience with Sales Force Marketing Cloud (SFMC) required. Strong problem-solving skills, relationship management, and project ownership. An eye for detail and solid design. Familiarity with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Proficiency to intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS (Responsive email coding). Strong knowledge on email sending and testing best practices. Audience list hygiene and segmentation strategy and building. Familiarity with project management software (Asana) A track record of commitment to prior employers What's in it for you?
