Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Developer to join a dynamic team. You will be responsible for the technical development, implementation, and optimization of email campaigns within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem., targeting both B2C and B2B segments across Bell, Virgin, and Lucky Mobile. This role requires a strong technical understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, along with a strategic mindset to drive customer engagement and achieve marketing goals for a complex product and customer landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Email Development: Design, build, test, and deploy dynamic, responsive HTML email templates and content for various marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud's tools (e.g., Content Builder, Email Studio).
  • Personalization & Dynamic Content: Implement sophisticated personalization using AMPScript, Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS), and data extensions to deliver tailored content based on subscriber data and behavior.
  • Cross-Client Compatibility: Ensure emails render correctly and consistently across a wide range of email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.) and devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).
  • Integration: Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to integrate email campaigns with other Salesforce clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing, including rendering tests, link validation, and deliverability checks, utilizing tools like Litmus or Email on Acid. Perform A/B testing setup and analysis.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to email rendering, tracking, data segmentation, and deliverability.
  • Best Practices & Compliance: Adhere to email marketing best practices, accessibility standards, and legal regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
  • Optimization: Continuously analyze campaign performance data to identify opportunities for improving email design, content, and deliverability.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for email templates, code libraries, and development processes.
Critical Qualifications
  • Proven experience developing HTML emails, with a strong understanding of email-specific CSS and limitations.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
  • Proficiency in AMPScript for dynamic content and personalization. Familiarity with SSJS is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of responsive email design techniques and frameworks.
  • Experience with email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid).
  • Understanding of email deliverability principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data structures within SFMC (Data Extensions, Attribute Groups).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator) are highly desirable.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
