Job description

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with one of our clients, is seeking a skilled GL Accountant. This role is responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, maintaining general ledger integrity, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.

Job Duties

  • Prepare timely and precise financial statements for supply chain center segments
  • Record period-end adjusting entries, including accruals and adjustments
  • Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and certifications
  • Monitor account activity and notify management of unusual transactions
  • Review profit and loss statements to identify key variance drivers
  • Collaborate with accounts payable, receivable, cash, and other finance functions to ensure ledger accuracy
  • Maintain internal controls and adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance standards
  • Provide financial summaries and reports to internal stakeholders upon period close


Skills & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Completion of Intermediate Accounting coursework
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills


Desired

  • Experience with supply chain or logistics finance environments
  • Knowledge of SOX principles and internal control processes
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
