Summary
Lincoln Electric Automation is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Fort Loramie, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing innovative automation equipment while working alongside experienced engineers and industry experts.
In this role, you'll contribute to the design, development, and delivery of automated solutions used by customers around the world. You'll work in a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning, professional growth, and technical innovation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create mechanical layouts, detailed drawings, and production documentation.
  • Support the design and development of automation equipment using CAD software.
  • Ensure designs meet customer requirements, project specifications, and company standards.
  • Update design packages to reflect final "as-shipped" configurations.
  • Assist in preparing digital documentation and service manuals.
  • Complete required ISO and quality documentation.
  • Support equipment installation activities as needed.
  • Meet project timelines and budget expectations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
  • Work under the direction of senior Designers and Project Engineers.

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • 0-2+ years of engineering, design, or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software preferred, ideally SolidWorks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
