Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Electromagnetic Spectrum Management (EMS) Technician you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Electromagnetic Spectrum Management (EMS) Technician joining our team to provide technical expertise to Government personnel for all EMS functions.
HOW A RF ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Researches, develops, validates, utilizes, analyzes, and assesses all Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) tools and capabilities within the USCENTCOM Electromagnetic Operational Environment (EMOE).

  • Provide EMS services to develop Radio Frequency Authorizations (RFAs) to evaluate and analyze RF.

  • Performs analysis of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) incidents and analyzes new spectrum-dependent systems to assess spectrum supportability.

  • Reviews the SXXI database to consider constraints or conflicts while performing assessments.

  • Documents and maintains spectrum supportability assessments as required for official correspondence.

  • Enters final approved spectrum supportability assessments into the appropriate DoW systems for official submission


WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience managing EMS in the Department of War (DoW)

  • Required Technical Skills:

    • Successful Completion of a DoW Spectrum Management Course

    • Experience with Spectrum XXI (SXXI) process and tools

    • Experience with the Joint Spectrum Database Repository

  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships

    • Good interpersonal, analytical, and communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with joint electromagnetic spectrum operations in a fast-changing high operational tempo environment.

    • Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission

    • Experience working with Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Online (HNSWDO)

    • Experience using Joint Spectrum Interference Resolution Online (JSIRO)

    • Familiarity with Fusion Analysis & Development (FADE)

    • Experience coordinating with the Joint Frequency Management Office (JFMO)

  • Location: On Customer Site at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL

  • US Citizenship Required

The likely salary range for this position is $100,300 - $135,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
