Job Title: Electrical Test EngineerJob DescriptionAs an Electrical Test Engineer, you will support the development and testing of power device control, body electronics, and powertrain battery systems, with a specific focus on trailer control. You will apply engineering principles and utilize various analysis tools to create test plans and procedures, ensuring that design parts and components meet acceptance criteria, performance targets, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute test plans and procedures for design parts and components.
- Create data settings, test specifications, standards, and schedules.
- Prepare and set up test equipment for conducting tests.
- Conduct moderately complex tests and document results and conclusions.
- Verify the accuracy and thoroughness of testing, determining if additional testing is required.
- Analyze and interpret test results, predict performance and potential failures.
- Provide necessary product and design data, identify issues, and develop countermeasures.
- Communicate test results clearly through written reports and formal presentations.
- Propose design changes and recommend countermeasures based on test analysis.
- Collaborate with suppliers of ECUs and assess testing capabilities.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in test equipment, electrical engineering, and test engineering.
- Experience in validation, test procedures, hardware setup, and running tests.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports.
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Over 5 years of experience in test engineering within the required specialty.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience working with suppliers of ECUs for trailer applications.
- A passion for outdoor activities, with a preference for those with towing experience.
Work EnvironmentThe position requires working onsite in engineering offices, providing an opportunity to test and develop new concepts on new vehicles. This role is part of a new group with only one person currently supporting this area.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Raymond, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
