Position Overview

As a Project Manager - Industrial Electrical & Inside Wiring, you will lead the execution of heavy industrial electrical construction projects, managing either a major phase of a large complex project or multiple midsized projects typically ranging from $500K to $20M+.

You are accountable for scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction, from initial proposal and bidding through project execution and closeout.

This role requires a selfmotivated, detailoriented leader who thrives in fastpaced, fielddriven environments and takes ownership of project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases
  • Manage industrial electrical and inside wiring scopes, including:
    • Medium and lowvoltage systems
    • Electrical distribution and equipment installation
    • Cable routing, terminations, and system integration
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Oversee field leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams
  • Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and field operations to ensure successful execution
  • Promote and reinforce Michels' safetyfirst culture across all project activities
  • Lead project closeout, commissioning coordination, and turnover activities

What It Takes
  • 4-7+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably within industrial electrical or inside wiring projects
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software (Primavera P6, Unifier, or similar)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with job cost tracking and estimating systems
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel and support longterm, onsite project assignments
  • Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and ability to grow within a dynamic organization
