Title: Project Coordinator
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Carson City, NV
Job Description
Provides process and coordination of all activities related to the construction, maintenance, operation and restoration of the underground and overhead distribution and transmission systems. Supports effects to ensure the safe, efficient and effective utilization of department resources.
Responsibilities
  • Monitors and coordinatesdepartmental activities and resources including work crew personnel.
  • Coordinates emergency andpre-arranged activities to provide line crew support/• field support forsystem restoration and scheduled maintenance.
  • Supports efforts to identify,implements and tracks various maintenance and capital programs andexpenditures in area of responsibility.
  • Prepares and coordinates bidproposals for outside contractors.
  • Provides timely and accuratereporting and analysis of field activities to senior management as needed.
  • Serves as primary customercontact for information on outage schedules and procedures.
  • Assists in the departmentplanning and budgeting process by identifying and justifying tool,equipment and personnel requirements.
  • Evaluates and recommendsprocess improvements and integration of technologies to promote efficiencyand cost-effectiveness while maintaining a commitment to safety andcustomer satisfaction.
  • Ensures all complianceaspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies withall policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
  • Performs related duties asassigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from anaccredited school in engineering, business, management, or related field(or) journeyman lineman certification and 3-5 years of related workexperience.
  • Candidates that do notpossess a bachelor's degree (or) journeyman lineman certification musthave 7 years of related work experience.
  • Utility line construction,operating, and maintenance practices and industry concepts and standards.
  • Applicable safety andcompliance regulations affecting the area of operation.
  • Organizational, timemanagement, and communication with a diverse population.
