Job description

Position Summary
Ormat runs a broad innovation agenda across its global operations, spanning advanced and emerging technologies, process redesign and business transformation, strategy, AI, and automation.
This role supports two connected efforts: the AI Center of Excellence and the innovation portfolio, contributing to each and connecting the two.
The work leans on strong analytical frameworks and the ability to map and analyze business transformation processes, paired with the communication skills to make a case to leadership one hour and align a site team the next. It is hands-on: in any given week it can mean facilitating a sprint, building a leadership presentation, or coordinating stakeholders across sites and time zones. It is strategic when it needs to be and more granular when it does not, and the same person is expected to do both.
Much of the work is advisory: sitting with a business unit, understanding how they actually operate, and helping them see where a process, a technology, or AI changes the economics of what they do. The right person works independently and owns both the goal and the process.
Essential Functions
• Map, analyze, and redesign business processes to identify where emerging technologies, redesigned workflows, AI, or automation add measurable value.
• Act as an internal advisor to business units: partner with process owners to frame the problem, challenge assumptions, and shape the case for change before an initiative is committed.
• Scope initiatives end to end: translate operational problems into structured briefs covering problem owner, required data, success measures, and implementation considerations.
• Drive innovation sprints and initiatives from framing through facilitation, documentation, follow-through, and outcome tracking.
• Accompany initiatives from framing through delivery, staying with the work rather than handing it off after scoping.
• Identify blockers early and drive them to resolution, and track milestones and outcomes across the innovation portfolio.
• Drive AI adoption across business units and sites, working with the AI Leads and Champions network.
• Build internal communications, guidance, and engagement materials that surface ideas and promote adoption, including running engagement sessions and internal events where needed.
• Contribute to leadership and strategic presentations: structure, data, and narrative.
• Lead stakeholder coordination across sites, business units, and time zones to keep innovation and AI initiatives moving.
Other Responsibilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the Innovation & AI Center of Excellence, business transformation initiatives, and related organizational priorities.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience at a strategy consulting firm, within a strategy, innovation, or transformation practice at a Big 4 firm, or in an equivalent in-house strategy, corporate development, innovation, or transformation role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex processes, structure ambiguous problems, and identify practical improvement opportunities.
  • Hands-on and adaptable approach with the ability to drive execution, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and support initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare clear guidance, executive-ready materials, and stakeholder communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and discretion, and represent the function appropriately when working with sensitive information.
  • Genuine interest in AI, innovation, emerging technologies, and their application to industrial operations.

Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based role requiring the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use a computer and standard office equipment, communicate verbally and in writing, and attend meetings in person or virtually. Occasional travel between company locations may be required.
