OverviewThis position is responsible for all aspects of engineering construction procurement projects. The incumbent is responsible for managing all inhouse and external engineering, procurement, installation and testing through turnover to aftersales/Operations. They will ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the supply and installation contracts
  • Prepare and manage the schedule and budget
  • Manage all project coordination with all stockholders within and outside of the company
  • Manage the project execution including risk mitigation, safety protocols, and quality assurance
  • Manage all commercial aspects of the supply and EPC projects
  • Direct the project team as needed.
  • Sign and approve PO, invoices, change orders and bank transfers
  • Negotiate all contract with clients, contractors and suppliers

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years in the construction industry, 2 years in similar position
  • BS degree required in technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The ability to assess situations and choose the best alternative including initiating these alternatives
  • Directly manage personal, be able to create long term professional relationships with suppliers and contractors 
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties
  • Must possess at any time a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT auto insurance carrier
  • Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software application in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and use of the Internet
  • Ability and willingness to travel and relocate if required
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to lift 20 lbs. periodically
  • The ability to navigate and work in remote field locations and work outdoors in difficult weather conditions.
  • The ability to walk, hike, and work on steep, rough terrain for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to safely operate 4WD light vehicles on highways and off-road.
  • Must be able to frequently climb ladders, climb to and work off of elevated platforms, ladders and walkways
  • Protective equipment and fire retardant clothing must be worn in the performance of some duties
  • Job requires sitting 20% of the time, standing 80%
