The Electrical Engineering/Manager position is part of the Sonics R&D Group. Sonics looks to advance the Ultrasonics industry by cultivating an environment that fosters the spirit of innovation and creativity upon which the company was founded over 5 decades ago.Primary Responsibilities:Oversee the design, development, and implementation of various engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Produce Innovative Ultrasonic Generator designs that meet cost targets and market requirements.Design and develop electrical systems to drive piezoelectric converters/transducers.Provide Systems Engineering design and analysis.Create electrical and system models, schematics, printed circuit board layouts, and assembly drawings from sketches, notes, or customer supplied models.Implement and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering department.About You:BS in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years' relevant design and development experience.Experience with Analog and Digital circuit design principles.Experience with High Power switching electronics and magnetics for driving capacitive loads.Experience with embedded system design including A/D and D/A signal processing.Experience with PSPICE or other modeling software.Experience with Embedded Microprocessor Development, Design and Software tools.Experience with electronic laboratory equipment and computer technologies.Scientific skills and analytical ability to diagnose problems.Hands-On debug skills of electronic designs.Knowledge of analog and digital design rules for printed circuit board layout.Ability to interact with outside suppliers and internal departments.Proficiency in the following computer/software packages including Altium Designer, SPICE, Windchill, and Microsoft Office.Excellent written and oral communications skills.Excellent technical acumen, with a deep understanding of engineering principles, techniques, and methodologies.Ability to collaborate on multiple projects with small technical team and other departments.Strong customer centric focus.A driven work ethic to solve problems.If you are interested in joining a stable, growth-oriented, and innovative organization where you can make a difference, we want to hear from you!
