Job description

Join a Fast-Growing Team

EIS (Excellence In Service) is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Domestic Freight Broker to join our expanding team. This is a full-time, in-office position — no remote work.

As with all employees, the person selected for this role will be expected to promote a positive culture and deliver the highest level of customer service in the industry. Modes You'll Work

LTL | FTL | Hotshot | Sprinter / Cargo Van | Expedited Ground


What You'll Do

  • Quote, book, monitor, and bill Full Truckload and LTL shipments while maximizing profitability and meeting service standards
  • Onboard new carriers to support our growing network and operational needs
  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers and drivers to track load status in real time
  • Negotiate carrier rates in a manner that optimizes profit on every shipment
  • Identify and select reputable, safe carriers for all freight services
  • Provide the operations team with timely, competitive price quotes
  • Manage escalations via phone and email with both customers and carriers as needed
  • Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
  • Oversee billing and invoicing with accuracy and efficiency
  • Keep customers informed on shipment status and assist with inquiries


What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of urgency to every quote, shipment, and customer update. You're a natural negotiator who knows how to prioritize, set goals, and go the extra mile without being asked. You're growth-oriented, coachable, and hungry to build something alongside a team that rewards performance.

Prior freight brokerage or logistics experience is a strong plus. Familiarity with TMS platforms, carrier vetting, and domestic freight modes will set you apart.
