About 3E:

3E is a mission-driven company dedicated to creating a safer and more sustainable world. We offer award-winning regulatory intelligence and AI solutions to help organizations protect people and products. With over 35 years of experience and a global presence, we empower our customers with innovative compliance solutions.ย

You will get to work at a company that combines startup agility with the stability of an industry leader. Partner with enterprise customers and global experts to advance environmental safety and solve complex data science challenges.

Join us and make an impact!

About the Role:

Are you an EHS, chemical safety, product stewardship, hazardous materials, or regulatory compliance professional who enjoys solving complex problems and improving how work gets done?

At 3E, we're looking for someone who wants to apply their industry expertise in a new way, helping shape the technology that EHS professionals rely on every day.

As a Product Manager on our Chemical & Workplace Safety team, you'll help define and deliver solutions across the 3E Protect platform, as well as our Hotline, Interpretive Hotline, and Regulatory Reporting Services. You'll work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to build products that make workplaces safer, simplify compliance, and help organizations make better decisions.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in EHS, chemical safety, SDS management, hazardous materials, product stewardship, emergency response, or regulatory compliance who is excited to influence product strategy and customer outcomes. You don't need to have held a formal Product Manager titleโ€”we're looking for someone with deep domain expertise, curiosity, and a passion for solving customer problems.

You'll own key parts of the product lifecycle, from understanding customer needs and prioritizing work to delivery, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement. You'll collaborate across Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, Sales, Marketing, and our service teams to deliver meaningful customer value.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of chemical and workplace safety technology, including how AI and automation can simplify complex workflows and help EHS professionals work smarter and make safer decisions.

What You'll Do:
  • Own and Prioritize Product Work

    • Maintain a clear, prioritized backlog that reflects customer needs, business goals, and product strategy.

    • Translate customer, market, and internal input into actionable product requirements, user stories, enhancements, and fixes.

    • Help prepare well-defined initiatives with business context, customer evidence, and clear success criteria.

    • Balance competing priorities across multiple initiatives and lifecycle stages.

    Drive Product Delivery

    • Partner closely with Engineering and Scrum teams through planning, refinement, demos, testing, and release activities.

    • Help ensure teams are building the right solutions for the right customer problems.

    • Support high-quality releases by clarifying scope, managing tradeoffs, and validating outcomes.

    • Own launch readiness, enablement, adoption tracking, and post-launch improvement for assigned areas.

Champion the Customer and the Business

    • Bring practical understanding of EHS, chemical safety, and regulatory compliance into product decisions.

    • Develop deep knowledge of how customers use 3E Protect and related services in their daily workflows.

    • Conduct voice-of-customer research, competitive analysis, and market discovery.

    • Partner with Hotline, Regulatory Reporting, Customer Experience, Sales, and Marketing teams to deliver connected solutions.

    • Focus on outcomes such as adoption, retention, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

    Collaborate Across 3E

    • Communicate clearly with technical, commercial, customer-facing, and executive audiences.

    • Manage expectations across teams and stakeholders.

    • Lead through influence, even when you do not directly own every team involved in delivery.

    • Act as a business owner for your assigned product areas, not just a builder of features.

What Makes You a Great Fit:
  • 5+ years of practical, hands-on experience in EHS, chemical safety, hazardous materials, regulatory compliance, product stewardship, or related fields, including work in product, project, advisory, or customer-facing roles.

  • Strong business judgment and ability to prioritize based on customer value and business impact.

  • Experience working cross-functionally and driving outcomes through influence across technical, commercial, and customer-facing teams.

  • Experience interacting directly with customers or stakeholders to understand needs and solve complex problems.

  • Ability to translate complex regulatory or operational requirements into practical solutions or product ideas.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Analytical, curious, and outcome-oriented mindset.

  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, evolving environment.

  • Interest in contributing to or growing within a product-focused role.

Helpful, But Not Required

  • Product management experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, information services, or a related environment.

  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.

  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, or customer implementation projects.

  • Experience with AI-enabled tools, automation, or enterprise workflow technology.

  • Knowledge of frameworks such as OSHA HazCom, GHS, EPCRA/Tier II, RCRA, CERCLA, or similar regulatory areas.

Our US Benefits Include:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Life insurance and disability coverage

  • Open PTO and parental leave

  • 401(k) plan with company matching

  • Employee assistance program

  • Voluntary supplemental benefits (Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness)

3E is currently authorized to hire in the following U.S. states:

Alabama, Arizona, California (excluding Los Angeles), Colorado (excluding Denver), Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois (excluding Chicago), Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York (excluding New York City), North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.
