Crandall Corporation is looking to hire a Safety/Health/Environmental Specialist in Raleigh, NC or surrounding cities.
Duties and responsibilities:

Driving:
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner without violations.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Capable of driving to customer locations in the Southeast region.

Compliance Specialist:
  • Develop and maintain written safety and health plans.
  • Develop and maintain written environmental plans.
  • Assist/complete permit applications.
  • Perform audits and inspections.
  • Conduct training to small to large groups of people.
  • Work both individually and as a team.
  • Be intimately familiar with OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations.
  • Work with clients.

Paperwork/Administrative:
  • Maintain and enter detailed notes.
  • Thorough and accurate completion of reports/correspondence.
  • Submit weekly time and expense reports.
  • Submit task requests to admin in a timely fashion.
  • Develop written plans and correspondence.
  • Work with administrative staff to complete deliverables.

Qualifications:

The atmospheric conditions may include cold and warm temperature extremes, humidity, and occasionally mist oil or dusty environments. The position may require walking/working in dirty, dusty environments. The position also requires driving a vehicle for extended periods. This position requires overnight travel that may occasionally consist of two to three nights per week.

Physical requirements:
This position requires the ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods. This position requires seating while driving for up to three to four hours, but possibly longer depending on customer location. This position requires standing for two to eight hours per shift, depending on work to be performed and location.
