Strategic Partnerships Director
Location: New York or San Francisco preferred | Hybrid
Comp: $230K-$260K base + ~25% bonus + equity
About the Role
Our client, a fast-growing company at the intersection of AI, enterprise technology, and digital marketing, is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Director to build and lead a high-impact partnerships function. This is a highly visible role for a polished, strategic operator who knows how to originate, structure, and close complex partnerships with major technology companies.
Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic partnerships across AI platforms, enterprise software companies, and channel partners
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to define partnership strategy and prioritize high-value opportunities
  • Represent the company in senior-level external conversations with strategic partners
  • Lead the development of partnership proposals, presentations, and materials for executive audiences
  • Build and manage a partnerships pipeline from origination through close
  • Bring rigor, structure, and follow-through to complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure partnerships are commercially strong and operationally executable
  • Help establish the processes, standards, and best practices needed to scale the partnerships function
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, management consulting, or a related field
  • Proven track record of structuring and closing complex, high-value partnerships with large enterprise or platform organizations
  • Strong executive presence and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent commercial judgment and analytical thinking
  • Ability to assess deal value, evaluate partnership opportunities, and structure creative terms
  • High attention to detail and a strong standard for external-facing work
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with significant ownership
  • Familiarity with the AI ecosystem, including enterprise AI tools and platform partners
  • Experience in marketing technology, advertising technology, or adjacent sectors is a plus
  • Background as an early or founding partnerships hire in a high-growth company is a plus
  • Willingness to be based in, or regularly work from, New York City is preferred
