To thrive as an Edtech Designer, you need expertise in instructional design, educational theory, and user experience (UX) principles, often supported by a background in education or design. These competencies ensure the creation of effective, engaging, and accessible educational technologies that enhance learning outcomes.

What is Edtech Design?

Edtech Design refers to the process of creating educational products, tools, and experiences using technology to enhance learning. Professionals in this field blend instructional design, user experience (UX), and educational theory to develop engaging digital platforms, apps, and resources for students and teachers. Their goal is to make learning more accessible, effective, and enjoyable by leveraging the latest technological advancements. Edtech designers collaborate with educators, developers, and students to ensure their solutions meet real classroom needs and promote positive educational outcomes.

Edtech Design professionals often serve as a bridge between educators and software developers, ensuring that educational products are both pedagogically effective and user-friendly. They regularly participate in cross-functional meetings to gather feedback from teachers, align on educational goals, and translate instructional needs into design specifications. Throughout the development cycle, Edtech Designers may create prototypes, conduct usability testing with real educators or students, and iterate on designs based on collaborative input. Job description

Help Wanted: Director of Sales & Growth (AI + EdTech)

Location: Company Based in Southern California (Hybrid / Remote-Friendly)
Type: Part-Time → Full-Time (Growth Track)
Compensation: Base + Aggressive Commission + Performance Bonuses + Leadership Path
About BeyondK12 & Learneum
BeyondK12 is a national leader in AI Readiness, Digital Literacy, and Future-Ready Education for K–12 schools and districts.
We are expanding into AI-powered software and personalized learning platforms through our new flagship product, Learneum.
Our mission:
Prepare schools and students for the future of work—with ethics, integrity, and real-world skills.

We are now seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Sales Leader to help scale this next phase.
The Opportunity
This is not a “sit-back-and-wait-for-leads” role.
This is for a builder. A closer. A future executive.

You will start as a one-person growth engine and evolve into the leader of a high-performing sales organization.
If you want to help shape a company—not just work at one—this is your seat.
Your Mission
You will:
  • Own revenue growth for BeyondK12 and Learneum
  • Generate, qualify, and close education clients (schools, districts, networks)
  • Build scalable sales systems and pipelines
  • Implement CRM, automation, and follow-up workflows
  • Develop partnerships and strategic accounts
  • Recruit, train, and manage future sales reps
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO on growth strategy

You will operate like a founder of revenue inside the company.
Core Responsibilities
Sales & Growth
  • Prospect and close K–12 administrators and decision-makers
  • Run high-level discovery and solution presentations
  • Manage long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
  • Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly targets

Systems & Tools
  • Use CRM and automation tools effectively
  • Track leads, conversions, and performance metrics
  • Build repeatable sales processes
  • Leverage AI and digital tools for efficiency

Leadership
  • Help design the future sales org
  • Mentor and manage new team members
  • Establish accountability and performance culture

Required Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is:
  • A proven closer with B2B or education sales experience
  • Comfortable building from zero
  • Highly organized and self-directed
  • Strong communicator (spoken and written English)
  • Tech-savvy and AI-curious
  • Professional, confident, and polished
  • Persistent and resilient
  • Hungry to grow personally and financially

Preferred (Not Required)
  • Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or education services
  • Startup or early-stage company experience
  • CRM/Marketing automation experience (GHL, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Existing education contacts or book of business
  • Experience building teams

Who Will Thrive Here
This role is for you if:
  • You like ownership, not hand-holding
  • You enjoy solving problems
  • You are competitive with yourself
  • You believe in education and innovation
  • You want long-term upside, not just a paycheck
  • You are comfortable being “the person” before there is a team

This is not for someone who needs structure handed to them.
We will provide support, training, and leadership—but you must bring drive.
Compensation & Growth
  • Competitive base (part-time → full-time)
  • High-commission structure
  • Performance bonuses
  • Leadership advancement
  • Revenue-share opportunities (for top performers)
  • Executive growth path

Top performers will earn well above industry average.
Why Join BeyondK12?
  • 35+ years of credibility and relationships
  • Proven programs and IP
  • National footprint
  • AI + Software growth runway
  • Mission-driven leadership
  • Real opportunity to build something meaningful

You won’t be selling “vaporware.”
You’ll be selling real solutions that matter.
How to Apply
Submit:
  1. Resume
  2. Short cover letter answering:
    • Why are you a fit for this role?
    • What excites you about AI + education?
    • What have you built before?
Only serious, growth-minded candidates will be considered.
Final Note
We are building something important.
If you are looking for comfort, this isn’t it.
If you are looking for impact, leadership, and upside—let’s talk.
