We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our team. This role will involve developing a web-based mobile food facility registration and inspection system to enable state agencies to efficiently track registrations and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ASP.NET, C#, MVC architecture, and enterprise application development, along with a passion for building scalable and secure public sector solutions.

Duration: 6 Months+ 

Job Description:

The Senior .NET Developer will be responsible for analyzing existing applications and developing new web-based solutions. This role involves working closely with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to deliver high-quality, scalable applications that meet business and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with relevant IT experience
  • 10+ years of experience with ASP.NET
  • 5+ years of experience with C# and MVC frameworks
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and database development
  • Experience with web services and application integration
  • Strong understanding of application security and resolving security-related issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Understanding of EDI file formats and data exchange processes
  • Experience supporting EDI transactions and resolving data transmission issues
  • Experience in the healthcare or public health industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Analyze existing applications and design enhancements or new solutions
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and translate requirements into technical specifications
  • Develop web applications using ASP.NET, C#, and MVC frameworks
  • Apply object-oriented programming principles and best practices
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code along with unit testing strategies
  • Prototype, refine, test, and debug applications to meet user needs
  • Ensure alignment with agency architecture, standards, and policies
  • Address application security concerns and implement secure coding practices
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to project milestones
  • Support integration with external systems, including EDI transactions (if applicable)
  • Provide support for data exchange processes and troubleshoot transmission issues
