Food Safety & Quality Specialist

Tampa, FL

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a highly detail-oriented Food Safety & Quality Specialist with a passion for operational excellence and brand protection. This role is ideal for someone with a background in high-standard restaurant environments—especially Chick-fil-A—or experience in regulatory inspections who understands the standards.  

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct routine and surprise food safety audits across restaurant operations
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations as well as third party Ecosure Food safety visits and Quality Visits. 
  • Lead food safety training and coaching for leadership and team members
  • Identify risks and implement corrective action plans with implementation of systems for long term success. 
  • Maintain and monitor OSHA regulations 
  • Partner with operations leaders to drive continuous improvement
  • Prepare for and support health inspections with confidence and accuracy
  • Understand and enforce Chick-fil-A’s Quality standards for menu items. 
  • Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Help create a proactive food safety culture .  Reinforcing the importance of food safety as a critical part of guest experience and stewardship.
  • Documenting and tracking inspection results and trends. 
  • Servsafe Leader Certification  management for compliance
What Makes You a Strong Fit
  • Experience in a high-standard food service environment.
  • OR background as a Health Inspector / Food Safety Inspector
  • Deep understanding of food safety systems, audits, and compliance
  • Strong coaching skills and ability to create systems and processes
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfortable holding teams accountable while maintaining strong relationships
Qualifications
  • 2+ years in food safety, quality assurance, or restaurant leadership
  • HACCP Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of FDA Food Code and local health regulations
