JOB SUMMARY

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for all aspects of quality testing of material at the assigned work-site. Material may include fly ash, bottom ash, gypsum, scrubber, and/or other material as required by site management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Perform all quality testing of materials by approved test methods
  • Maintains all quality testing equipment, schedules calibration, and orders testing supplies as needed
  • Responsible for laboratory housekeeping
  • Record data and results in a specified format with accuracy
  • Follows safety procedures to ensure safe work environment
  • Interprets testing data and shares results and observations as directed by management
  • Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to follow standard testing procedures
  • Good organization and problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret test results and convey them to co-workers and management
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (Hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
  • Lift/move/transport items up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
  • Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders
  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions

FUNCIONES ESENCIALES

  • Cumplir con las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad de Eco Material Technologies
  • Realizar todas las pruebas de calidad para el yeso, el depurador y el tratamiento de aguas residuales mediante métodos de prueba autorizados
  • Mantener todos los equipos de prueba de calidad y programa la calibración
  • Prepara informes de calidad para probar datos
  • Sigue los procedimientos de seguridad para garantizar un ambiente de trabajo seguro
  • El técnico es responsable de la interpretación de datos para los operadores de planta con respecto a la mejora continua
  • Completa el inventario químico semanalmente e informa de órdenes de compra al Supervisor de laboratorio según sea necesario para completar las pruebas
