Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

The principal accountability of this position is to provide clinical system support for Athena Health. Work with clinical staff to improve, build and maintain Athena Health and other modules as well as complete projects that are set by manager. Accountable for maintaining the confidentiality and security of all administrative, financial and clinical data. Clinical system analyst must attend training, system design, testing and implementation for Athena Health and other EMR's. Investigate and troubleshoot concerns or issues reported by users. Communication and follow up with the system vendor and other analyst. It's also important to attend meetings and participate in on-call schedule. To maintain clear communication Clinical system analyst must work collaboratively with other staff within IT to collectively achieve goals and resolve issues. As well as fostering a team atmosphere and drive the engagement of the IT department. Clinical system analyst is tasked with providing superior customer service to all clients, staff and patients.

Responsibilities:
-Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Richmond University Medical Center's policies and standards.
-Maintain overall EMR support and works closely with RUMC's IT team and vendors to ensure maximum uptime and quality support. As well as identifies and creates resolutions to issues either being reported or identified independently. It's important for clinical system analyst to independently reviews, analyzes and modifies configuration/programming to support hospital EMR system after the change management control form has been approved by the manager.
- Oversees electronic medical record systems and related software applications for Richmond Health Network
-Creates and maintains appropriate EMR documentation including but not limited to templates, flow sheets, and care plans, etc. to support quality reporting and practice workflows.
-Evaluates user requests for services and recommends solutions to address their business needs. Documents, tracks and follows up on all enhancement requests and system change requests for the supported modules.
- Investigates, isolates, and diagnoses basic applications problems, coordinating with other IT staff as necessary
-Oversees practices' transition to new EMR systems. Plans for and schedules new installations. Upgrades hardware and software components to clinical systems in coordination with technical operations staff.
-Investigates and provides education to practices on EMR optimization, new features and services.
-Provides technical support for standalone EMRs and/or networked systems and troubleshoots system problems.
-Trains end users to operate new or modified programs. Develop end user training material as needed.
-Constructs and generates all reports to comply with regulatory mandates.
-Prepares reports, attends meetings and documents project status as requested.

Experience:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Office suit
-Experience preferred, knowledge required.
Education:
Bachelors Degree inInformation Technology or health related field required.

Salary Range: $58,000 - $63,000
