Job description

Job Summary:
Dynatrace is a one-product software company creating value for large enterprises and millions of end customers globally. As the Senior Director of Cloud Native Specialists, you will architect Dynatrace's approach to containerized enterprises and lead a team of specialists to enhance their impact on global sales and customer success.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a high-impact team of domain experts, providing technical mentorship, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of excellence, ensuring your team stays at the absolute forefront of the CNCF landscape (eBPF, Service Mesh, Serverless).
• Coordinate team deployments for high-stakes Proof of Concepts (POCs) and executive-level 'Cloud Native Maturity' workshops.
• Serve as the global voice on Kubernetes ecosystems (EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift) and the OpenTelemetry (OTel) roadmap.
• Define the competitive narrative that positions Dynatrace as the production-grade extension of open-source telemetry.
• Champion the 'No-Instrumentation' advantage, proving how automation eliminates the operational toil of sidecars and manual code changes.
• Develop 'Cloud-Native ROI' models to quantify the reduction of the 'Kubernetes Tax'—the hidden operational cost of managing K8s at scale.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to displace niche monitoring tools by proving the business value of Davis® AI for automated root cause analysis.
• Influence the product roadmap by aggregating field insights from your team to drive the next generation of AI-powered observability.
• Advise Global 2000 Platform Teams on integrating observability into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions) and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Standardize 'Observability-as-Code' strategies using Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
• Help customers bridge the gap between technical metrics and business revenue through Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and FinOps alignment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience managing high-performance technical teams
• Total of 10+ years in Presales, DevOps, SRE
• Expert knowledge of container runtimes, ingress controllers, and service mesh architectures
• Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and YAML
• Ability to navigate Go, Java, or Node.js to bridge the gap between infrastructure and application teams
• Proven ability to translate technical metrics (MTTR, Deployment Frequency) into executive outcomes (TCO, Revenue Protection)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Preferred:
• CKA/CKAD certification
• MBA or equivalent leadership experience
