Job Description: Lead / Senior D365 Business Central Functional Consultant
Term: FTE / 3 Months C2H
Executive Summary:
XDuce Inc. is seeking a client-facing Lead / Senior D365 Business Central Functional Consultant to drive end-to-end Cloud ERP implementations across diverse industries. This role will act as the on-site operational bridge between US clients and offsite delivery teams, taking full ownership of client-facing delivery while guiding our offsite technical teams and acting as the primary functional point of contact for stakeholders throughout the engagement.
Work Structure and Travel:
40% on-site travel to client locations across the United States
60% off-site work from New Jersey office or remote setup within USA
Lifecycle Mandate: Own and drive the full functional lifecycle from requirements gathering through UAT, go-live, hypercare, and final transition to offsite support teams
Technical Core and Functional Expertise:
Candidates must demonstrate strong, independent functional configuration expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV) across the following areas:
Core Financials: General Ledger, Dimensions, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting
Supply Chain Management: Sales and Purchase Order Processing, Inventory Management, and Item Tracking
Manufacturing and Warehousing (Plus): Production Orders, BOMs, Routing, MRP, or Advanced Warehouse configurations such as directed bins and zones
Ecosystem Familiarity (Plus): Exposure to standard US distribution add-ons such as EDI, ASN, or shipping/logistics solutions is preferred but not mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Process Mapping
Lead on-site discovery workshops with client stakeholders and business users
Own all functional deliverables and client communication
Translate business processes into standard Business Central solutions
Prepare clear, structured Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for offsite teams
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Drive UAT execution and validation
Design real-world testing scenarios aligned with business operations
Track defects and coordinate resolution with offsite technical teams
Training and Go-Live Execution
Deliver end-user training and functional documentation
Lead on-site cutover and go-live activities
Provide hyper care and stabilization support post go-live
Role Requirements:
Demonstrate the ability to operate independently at client sites without day-to-day supervision
Possess a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Functional Consultant with D365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV
Demonstrate proven experience migrating legacy on-premises ERP systems to Business Central cloud environments
Exhibit strong capability to collaborate effectively with offshore delivery teams to execute functional requirements
Maintain flawless, consultative verbal and written English communication skills for US client-facing scenarios
Have basic familiarity with Power BI or Business Central reporting tools (preferred)
