Job description

Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports core accounting functions and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is designed for individuals seeking to build a strong foundation in accounting with clear opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Record, process, and maintain financial transactions within Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Perform accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment support
  • Support accounts receivable activities, including billing, cash application, and aging analysis
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies
  • Generate financial reports and assist with internal reporting needs
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with company policies
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data and resolve issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of accounting or relevant internship experience
  • Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with GAAP and standard accounting practices

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, squat, kneel, sit, and/or stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
