Job Summary:
Mango Cannabis is a fast-growing, multi-state cannabis retailer focused on delivering a great experience for customers and teams. The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing technology systems that support retail stores and corporate operations, ensuring system reliability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary administrator for Dutchie and other business-critical systems, ensuring uptime, functionality, and proper system configuration
• Manage integrations between retail, finance, marketing, inventory, and operational platforms
• Oversee user account creation, permissions, system access, and offboarding across company platforms
• Evaluate current systems and recommend technology improvements that increase efficiency and scalability
• Provide day-to-day troubleshooting and support for store and corporate hardware including computers, tablets, printers, scanners, registers, phones, and network equipment
• Resolve software issues impacting store operations, employee productivity, and customer transactions
• Coordinate equipment replacement, repairs, warranties, and technology asset tracking
• Maintain help desk support processes and ensure timely issue resolution across all locations
• Oversee internet connectivity, networking equipment, and system performance across all retail locations and corporate offices
• Partner with external vendors to resolve outages, install new systems, and maintain infrastructure reliability
• Support backup systems and business continuity planning to minimize operational disruption
• Support compliance-related systems including state-required inventory tracking platforms such as Metrc and other regulatory technology requirements by state
• Partner with Compliance and Operations teams to quickly resolve system issues that could create regulatory risk
• Maintain cybersecurity protocols including password management, access controls, device security, and system updates
• Monitor for security risks, fraud prevention opportunities, and data protection concerns
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on cybersecurity tools and incident response when needed
• Lead all technology setup for new store openings including internet installation, POS deployment, hardware setup, testing, and vendor coordination
• Ensure new locations are operationally ready prior to opening day
• Standardize technology setup processes to support future growth
• Manage relationships with IT service providers, software vendors, internet providers, and hardware partners
• Track contracts, service levels, renewals, and technology-related expenses
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including systems administration, technical support, infrastructure management, or retail technology support
• 2+ years of leadership, project management, or vendor management experience
• Experience supporting multiple locations or distributed work environments
• Strong experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and systems-related issues
• Experience managing user access, permissions, system implementations, and technology vendors
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, system security, and data protection protocols
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to operational issues in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
• Experience supporting retail technology systems, POS platforms, or multi-unit retail operations
• Experience with Dutchie or similar retail POS systems
• Experience working in the cannabis industry or other highly regulated industries such as healthcare, alcohol, gaming, or financial services
• Familiarity with cannabis compliance systems such as Metrc or other state tracking platforms
• Experience supporting new store openings, system rollouts, or multi-state operations
