NEMC Purchasing Coordinator Job Description (Full-Time, Remote)

The National Educational Music Company (NEMC) is growing, and we're excited to add a Purchasing Coordinator to our team! This will be a full-time, remote position reporting to the Merchandising Director. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for executing on the serialized and non-serialized inventory procurement plan, coordinating and entering POs and completing other merchandising related duties as assigned from time to time. Compensation for this role will be in the range of $48,000-58,000 per year. NEMC is proud to be a part of Ensemble Performing Arts.

What You'll Do

  • Receive and process purchase order requisitions from the field locations
  • Verify pricing and terms.
  • Submit completed POs to corresponding vendors.
  • Accumulate and process shipment verifications from field locations and help resolve discrepancies
  • Provide product pricing and availability information to field staff.
  • Respond to and research special order requests
  • Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of maintaining an effective field assortment mix and excellent customer service.

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to receive advice and training of skilled colleagues
  • Previous experience in musical instrument sales or purchasing
  • Working knowledge of musical instruments and related products
  • Understanding of general purchasing procedures
  • Compliance with company attendance standards
  • On the job training provided

Compensation

This is a full-time, salaried, remote role. Compensation will be in the range of $48,000-58,000 per year. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, HSA & FSA options, and paid time off for all full-time employees.
