Job Description
Position Overview
Under limited supervision, the Occupational Safety & Health (OS&H) Supervisor ensures a safe workplace for all employees. This position is responsible for providing technical direction to OS&H personnel to achieve compliance with organizational, federal and state regulatory requirements for the DUF6 project. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Functional:
  • Supports and guides OS&H technicians through direct operational oversight.
  • Organizes daily work to maximize employee utilization, contracts, quality, and budgets.
  • Enforces compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOE orders and federal safety regulations.
  • Conducts regular audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Leads incident investigations to determine root causes of accidents.
  • Implements corrective actions to prevent future workplace injuries.
  • Assist with the development, review and implementation of all OS&H policies & programs.
  • Assists with the design and delivery of safety training programs.
  • Manages PPE programs ensuring proper selection, fit, and equipment tracking.
  • Maintains safety documentation including incident logs and compliance reports.
  • Reviews safety protocols and participates in safety committees to drive compliance.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements: (Must meet DOE O 426.2 minimum requirements)
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in safety, health or industrial hygiene, environmental engineering, or technical school in a related field or equivalent
  • 7 + years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Experience in occupational safety, health
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credential
