Treston Security Services is currently seeking a professional and reliable Unarmed Security Officer for an exterior post located in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA). This position requires a strong security presence, attention to detail, and the ability to handle interactions with the public in a firm and professional manner.

Our team is built on a foundation of professionalism, accountability, and real-time operational oversight, supported by advanced reporting systems and a 24/7 Command Center. We take pride in developing our officers through ongoing training and creating opportunities for growth within the company.


Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday - Sunday
  • Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Location: DTLA (Office Building & Warehouse Environment)
  • Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (DOE)
  • Parking: On-site parking provided
  • Uniform: Provided by company

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct foot patrols every 30 minutes throughout the property
  • Monitor and secure exterior areas of the office building and warehouse spaces
  • Maintain a high-visibility presence to deter trespassing and unauthorized activity
  • Professionally handle interactions with transients and members of the public
  • Enforce property rules and report any suspicious activity
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for executives, employees, and visitors
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity reports (DARs)
  • Communicate effectively with management and dispatch as needed

Qualifications

  • Valid California Guard Card (required)
  • Prior security experience preferred (especially in DTLA or similar environments)
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow post orders
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors and on foot for extended periods
