Schedule: Primarily afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
About Treston Security Services
Treston Security Services provides professional security coverage for high-visibility events throughout Downtown Los Angeles. Our teams support concerts, film premieres, sporting events, festivals, private corporate functions, and exclusive gatherings.
We are seeking dependable, professional Special Event Security Officers who can operate confidently in fast-paced environments and represent our company with integrity.
Position Overview
Special Event Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe, controlled, and professional environment for guests, staff, and event partners. This role requires strong situational awareness, effective communication, and the ability to respond decisively to incidents while maintaining a customer-focused presence.
This is an on-call position. Weekend availability is required.
Core Responsibilities
Access Control & Credential Verification
  • Screen guests, staff, and vendors at designated entry points
  • Verify tickets, credentials, and identification
  • Enforce restricted area access protocols

Crowd Management & Venue Oversight
  • Maintain order and monitor guest behavior
  • Manage safe crowd flow in high-traffic areas
  • Provide clear directions and assist attendees when needed

Patrol & Risk Identification
  • Conduct routine patrols of event spaces, VIP areas, and perimeter zones
  • Identify safety hazards, suspicious activity, or policy violations
  • Maintain a visible deterrent presence

Incident & Emergency Response
  • Respond promptly to medical incidents, disturbances, and security breaches
  • Follow established emergency procedures and evacuation protocols
  • Coordinate with venue management and law enforcement when necessary

Professional Reporting
  • Complete accurate incident and activity reports
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and event leadership

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card (Required)
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Reliable transportation and communication
  • Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:
  • Prior event security, hospitality, or customer service experience
