About Oryx & Role

Oryx Dental Software is transforming how dental practices run their business, with smarter workflows, built-in clinical intelligence, and a platform designed by dentists, for dentists. As a profitable, fast-growing, and bootstrapped SaaS company, we’re reshaping practice management for the modern dental industry.

The Field Sales Representative plays a critical role in expanding Oryx’s presence across the SMB segment, serving both independent dental practices and emerging group practices (DSOs/DPOs) that are building the foundations of their growth. You’ll be the face of Oryx in your territory, building relationships, driving new business, and helping practices adopt modern, intelligent practice management software.

This is a quota-carrying role with a strong emphasis on territory development, outbound prospecting, in-person engagement, and consultative solution selling. You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Clinical teams to deliver a seamless experience for prospective practices.

ResponsibilitiesSales & Territory Growth
  • Own and exceed revenue targets for new SMB customer acquisition, including single-location practices and emerging DSOs/DPOs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: territory research, cold outreach, field visits, qualification, discovery, demo facilitation, and close.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline across general dentists, specialists, and group practice stakeholders.
  • Field-based role requiring ~80% travel within the assigned territory, with the remaining ~20% working from a home office for administrative work, planning, and follow-up.
Field Engagement & Relationship Building
  • Conduct in-person practice visits to build trust, run tailored discovery, and understand operational and clinical workflows.
  • Establish strong relationships with dentists, office managers, regional managers, and influencers within emerging group practices.
  • Attend industry events, regional study clubs, local dental society meetings, and DSO-focused gatherings to expand territory reach.
Outbound Prospecting & Market Development
  • Execute proactive outbound outreach (email, phone, events, field visits) to drive awareness and generate demand.
  • Partner with Marketing on localized campaigns, event strategy, and content needs that support territory growth.
  • Build partnerships with dental consultants, distribution reps, and ecosystem partners who influence purchase decisions.
Collaboration & Internal Alignment
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver tailored platform demos and highlight Oryx’s clinical/comprehensive advantages.
  • Ensure all lead, contact, and deal activity is accurately maintained in HubSpot and followed through with discipline.
  • Provide ongoing competitive intel and segment insights to help shape product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Coordinate with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and early adoption for newly signed practices.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • 1–3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in field sales, healthcare, dental, medical devices, or SaaS.
  • Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated success in outbound prospecting and territory development.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with clinicians and practice managers, both virtually and in person.
  • Excellent communicator who can simplify complex workflows and build trust quickly.
  • Highly organized, with strong CRM hygiene (HubSpot experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with the dental industry, DSO ecosystem, or medical field sales is a strong plus—but not required.
  • Self-starter with the drive to win in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Why Oryx
  • Join a profitable, founder-led SaaS company that’s redefining dental practice management.
  • Work with a mission-driven, high-energy team that values curiosity, integrity, and customer success.
  • Play a pivotal role in helping independent dentists and growing groups modernize their practices with confidence.
