National Account Manager - Drug Store Channel Start: immediately in Remote OR Rosemont, IL / United States
Permanent position, Full-time

The National Account Manager - Drug Store Channel on our Small Format channel team is responsible for directly managing and growing strategic partnerships between HARIBO and assigned retail drug store channel customers (for example: Walgreens, CVS, etc) nationwide across the United States. The National Account Manager will achieve and/or exceed sales goals and KPIs by successfully partnering with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.

This is a remote, field based position. The ideal National Account Manager - Drug Store Channel candidate will have 5+ years of strategic account sales and business development experience specifically in the CPG - Consumer Packaged Goods industry with prior experience in the retail Drug store channel (ex: Walgreens, CVS, etc) is highly preferred. Prior experience with candy, confectionery, or salty snacks is highly preferred. Additionally, this candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, a strong focus in fact-based selling using data and analytics, prior experience managing national accounts, and have the ability to travel, nationwide, 40% of the time as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies and plans that meet assigned sales and market share goals for assigned drug store retail channels nationwide (for example: Walgreens, CVS, etc)
  • Consistently achieve sales and profitability goals
  • Execute consumer and shopper driven strategies
  • Develop accurate rolling sales forecasts, partner with HARIBO's Supply Chain teams to minimize out-of-stocks
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including Trade Marketing, Sales Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Category Management, and Finance
  • Leverage HARIBO product mix to drive profitability and meet customer and shopper targets
  • Conduct headquarter calls at corporate offices of assigned customer/retail chains (for example: Walgreens, CVS, etc)
  • Create and execute joint business plans
  • Utilize data to develop accurate sales forecasts and use data to drive sales growth opportunities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of strategic sales experience specifically within the CPG - Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience managing National Accounts
  • Prior experience with headquarters calls, calling on/meeting with the corporate headquarters of national retailers
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing customer sales and/or syndicated data tools such as IRI, Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, etc.
  • Located within a reasonable commutable distance to a major airport
  • This is a remote, field based position that requires the ability to travel 40% of the time, as needed, nationwide with overnight stays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of sales/business development, ideally fast-moving consumer packaged goods (FMCG) industry
  • Prior experience calling on/selling into the corporate headquarters of national retailers specifically within the drug store retail channel (for example: Walgreens, CVS, etc) is strongly preferred
  • Candy, Confectionary, or Salty Snacks experience

Compensation and Benefits

Target Hiring Pay Range: $135,000 - $155,000 annually
