Job description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Clerk for Leo's Drug Store on Catalina Island. The incumbent will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining store cleanliness, restocking merchandise, and operating the cash register.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manages and maintains adequate store supplies.
  • Organize and keep inventory of products.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and the general public.
  • Receives, verifies and inputs accurate deliveries.
  • Ensures store is securely closed and/or opened as scheduled.
  • Provide product information and recommendations to customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Ability to subtract, add, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience in retail
  • Ability to operate POS/cash register
