Job description

The Driver Supervisor is responsible for building and maintaining a strong, accountable, and service-driven driver team in the DFW market. This role serves as the local field leader for driver performance, communication, culture, and operational consistency.

This position requires someone who can identify problems early, address them quickly, support drivers in real time, and continuously look for ways to improve service, efficiency, and team performance.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead driver onboarding, field training, and retraining
Build strong relationships with drivers while reinforcing company expectations and standards
Address performance, attendance, communication, and reliability issues quickly and directly
Conduct ride-alongs, spot checks, driver audits, and vehicle inspections
Monitor service issues and identify trends before they become larger problems
Improve driver accountability, urgency, and communication across the market
Create and maintain driver scorecards and performance tracking
Coach and mentor drivers to improve performance and retention
Work closely with Dispatch and Operations to improve efficiency and service levels
Help identify operational gaps, staffing needs, and growth opportunities
Make recommendations on driver discipline, removals, and staffing changes when necessary
Support the development of a positive, professional, and hardworking driver culture
