Position Overview

Reporting to the Aseptic Manager, the Operations Supervisor leads shift-based production teams to drive performance, safety, quality, and efficiency. This role oversees workflow, employee development, and production scheduling while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production staff performance, coaching, and development (including Individual Development Plans).
  • Create and maintain production schedules, staffing plans, and training assignments.
  • Oversee production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
  • Promote and enforce safety, quality, and GMP standards, lead audits and investigations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members.
  • Handle employee relations, including coaching, discipline, and performance management.
  • Facilitate shift communications, meetings, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Monitor output, resolve FPQ issues, and ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of equipment and processes within the work unit.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience (food, process, or high-speed packaging preferred)
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with continuous improvement and managing change
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of aseptic processes preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/HMI systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment
  • Valid driver’s license (travel may be required)
