What you'll be doing
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of the company's operations department. This includes managing the operation staff, ensuring efficient customer service, and overseeing all operational processes. The Operations Supervisor will be a key leader and will assist with developing and implementing strategies and plans to improve department efficiency and customer service.

You will be responsible for
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers ..
  • Tariff research and classification of goods to comply with Canadian, Mexican and US customs regulations (as applicable).
  • Handle requests from internal and external clients, assist team members and team leaders with addressing errors ensuring KPIs are met, and consult with manager on client data and complex imports related issues.
  • Assist with developing and implementing written work instructions and procedures per operation/client needs.
  • Work in conjunction with IT to develop/refine work instructions from initial request to production as needed.
  • Provide information to the billing team, provide afterhours support, prepare import/export forms and internal documents to comply with customs regulations.
  • Manage a network of MX customs clearance partners and drayage companies to ensure successful coverage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (in English and Spanish).
  • Showcase your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
  • Exercising independent judgment by providing directions and assistance with day-to-day task, prioritization and resources management.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment holding a high level of degree in urgency and accuracy, supporting a continuous improvement culture.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams deadlines to align schedules and priorities.
  • To provide the highest level of customer service by monitoring teams performance and providing regular feedback ensuring high standards of service are maintained.

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Ability to manage a group of 15 to 20 employees
  • Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Assign tasks to team members
  • Hire and Terminate employees
  • Assists with training and guidance of direct reports
  • Monitor work volumes of direct reports
  • Supervise team members, conduct team meetings, monitor attendance, and work schedules

What we need from you
  • Bachelor's Degree or diploma in International Trade, Logistics, Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years proven customs, compliance, or international trade experience.
  • Knowledge of Annex 24 and IMMEX program.
  • Leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of organization, time management and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English.
  • Full understanding of customs regulations in applicable country.
  • Intermediate MS Office knowledge.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
  • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MX
