Pioneer Freight is seeking an experienced and driven Terminal Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily transportation operations for a growing fleet of approximately 45 powered units. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations while supporting drivers, customers, and operational staff.

Position Summary

The Terminal Operations Manager has operational oversight of transportation activities, ensuring that daily operations are conducted safely, productively, and in accordance with customer requirements and company expectations. This role provides leadership to dispatch, drivers, safety, and maintenance coordination while supporting operational growth and continuous improvement.

The Terminal Operations Manager must exemplify professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and a strong commitment to operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transportation operations for approximately 45 powered units
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
  • Lead and support dispatch, drivers, and operational personnel
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, drivers, and internal departments
  • Monitor fleet productivity, service levels, and operational performance metrics
  • Assist with driver recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts
  • Support safety initiatives, compliance programs, and operational audits
  • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment readiness and preventative maintenance compliance
  • Address operational challenges proactively and implement effective solutions
  • Ensure company assets and resources are utilized efficiently
  • Participate in safety meetings, operational planning, and performance reviews
  • Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and customer service
