DOE โ€“ Construction Superintendent

Location: Aiken, South Carolina

Company: Chitina Diversified Services

Department: Construction

FLSA Status: Exempt | Full-Time

Wage Range: $97,000 - $125,000

Position Overview

Chitina Diversified Services is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for federal construction projects in Aiken, South Carolina.

This position will lead on-site construction activities and coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, materials, equipment, scheduling, safety, quality, and inspections. The ideal candidate is a proactive construction leader who performs effectively in a deadline-driven federal project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage on-site construction operations.
  • Coordinate field personnel and subcontractors.
  • Maintain project schedules and monitor construction milestones.
  • Ensure work meets applicable drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment to support uninterrupted field operations.
  • Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Maintain daily field reports, RFIs, field orders, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and approvals.
  • Attend production and project coordination meetings.
  • Address field conditions affecting project safety, quality, cost, or schedule.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction superintendent experience.
  • Government, DOD, DOE, FAA, or similar federal project experience highly preferred.
  • NQA-1 experience preferred.
  • United States Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance required.
  • Knowledge of 10 CFR 851.
  • EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 30 experience/certification as required by contract.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
