Job description

Massara is an Italian restaurant from the team behind Michelin Starred Rezdora in the Flatiron District of New York City. The focus is on the cuisine of Campania, wood fired cooking and pastas of the region. We have a great team but are currently looking for a Pastry cook whom loves Italian food and wants to cook the food from southern Italia and surrounding regions in a very authentic, Italian way.

Our restaurant is an employee-first establishment, where we believe that working together as a focused team dedicated to not only an unforgettable guest experience but also towards a work-life balance, will serve our guests in the best fashion.

As part of the back of the house team, you’ll receive:

  • Opportunity to learn all aspects of traditional cuisine from Southern Italy and surrounding regions with focus on Italian pastries
  • Overtime is offered
  • Focus on Italian plated desserts, pastries including sfogliatella and more. As well as house made gelatos, focaccias, and more.
  • Ability to learn basic Italian...beneficial, especially if there is a desire to travel to Italy in the future
