POSITION SUMMARY

Axiom Space seeks a resilient, highenergy Document Management Specialist who can thrive in a complex, fastmoving environment. The role manages the full lifecycle of technical documents, enforces standards, and ensures precise revision and release control. It drives process discipline, supports audit readiness, and administers collaboration platforms such as Confluence, Jira, and Box. The position also provides Program Control Board secretarial support and coordinates project activities using agile practices.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and follow approved document control procedures, work processes, and instructions

  • Execute quality control on all incoming and outgoing documentation and correspondence, identifying irregularities and noncompliance

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members on automated document management tools

  • Deliver Document Management System guidance and training to Axiom personnel, customers, and contractors/consultants

  • Evaluate existing work processes and implement improvements within assigned areas

  • Participate in quality assurance audits, internal reviews, and external audits

  • Perform document management activities including formatting documents using approved Microsoft Word templates, managing revision histories, and ensuring timely processing

  • Manage the full document lifecycle from number assignment through final release, coordinating stakeholder reviews, comment collection, redline tracking, and signature routing

  • Maintain Atlassian Confluence sites, Jira tracking systems, and Box Drive repositories for assigned projects

  • Maintain document tracking logs and reports using Microsoft Office applications and other organizationspecific tools

  • Ensure proper marking and control of proprietary and sensitive information in compliance with restricted data requirements

  • Provide backup or surge support for Program Boards and Project Lifecycle Milestone Reviews

  • Support meeting logistics including conference room setup, Outlook calendar coordination, meeting minutes, and documentation of decisions and formal actions

  • Communicate project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership

  • Implement and maintain agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle

  • Perform additional job duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Business or English preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted

  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders, executive leadership, and crossfunctional teams to gather requirements, obtain information, and ensure followthrough

  • Strong timemanagement and organizational skills with a consistent record of meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high quality

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems for aviation, space, and defense

  • Demonstrated success delivering results in fastpaced, ambiguous environments

  • Sound judgment and proactive problemsolving applied to complex operational challenges

  • High attention to detail and accuracy, consistently producing highquality documentation and outcomes

Requirements

  • This position may require access to export controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
