Job Title: Inventory Management Associate
Department: Parts
Location: Plano, TX
Reports To: Parts Manager

Position Summary

The Inventory Management Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and supporting the efficient flow of parts and materials within the facility. This role ensures that inventory is tracked, stored, and replenished in alignment with operational needs and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working cross-functionally with purchasing, receiving, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits as scheduled
  • Receive, label, and store incoming parts and supplies in designated locations
  • Update inventory management systems (IMS) with real-time data on stock movements
  • Collaborate with the Parts Manager to forecast demand and adjust reorder points
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend disposition strategies
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all inventory transactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant storage environment
  • Assist with inventory-related reporting and KPI tracking
  • Support cross-departmental requests for parts and materials in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or parts management
  • Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA and EPA standards related to storage and handling
