Job description

Job Title: Document Control Specialist II
Work Location: Atlanta, GA
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview
Accura Engineering is seeking a Document Control Specialist for the I-285 Top End Express Lanes Project and is responsible for managing all project document control activities. This includes establishing and maintaining document management systems for the Project Management Team (PMT) and Developer, coordinating the review and distribution of project submittals, and ensuring all documentation is processed in accordance with P3 Division guidance and project requirements. The role also oversees project correspondence, records management, and contract compliance documentation, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent document control throughout project delivery and closeout.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Administers the collection, authorization, publication, storage, retrieval and retention of documents to ensure control and availability of documentation to site personnel.
  • Administers the document controls strategy, systems, and policies and procedures including but not limited to the authoring, approval, publishing, version control and archiving of all project or program related documents.
  • Maintains the electronic project record files. Copies and scan documents as needed to perform distribution and storage duties.
  • Prepares records for inactive storage according to the Records Retention Schedule.
  • May assist in providing training to project personnel regarding document control and record retention policies, procedures, and project management system use.
  • Performs and/or supports regular audits of document controls processes and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • Associate's degree in relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience,
  • OR In lieu of degree, 5 years' minimum experience in project controls, document control, and/or technical administrative support experience.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to support document management, reporting, tracking, and records administration.
  • Familiarity with transportation or construction project delivery methods and an understanding of how multiple project disciplines interface throughout design and construction.
  • Strong attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset and the ability to quickly learn, interpret, and apply project procedures, standards, and document control requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate project records in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective technical writing and document review skills, with the ability to prepare, track, and communicate project information clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to collaborate with project leadership, agency representatives, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to support successful project delivery.
