Information Management SpecialistWe are currently recruiting for an
Information Management Specialist to join a well-established organization in Calgary. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in records management and information governance, who is passionate about maintaining data integrity, improving processes, and supporting business operations through effective information management practices.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:- Maintain and administer information management policies, standards, and procedures
- Manage corporate records and governance documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and version control
- Apply retention schedules in line with regulatory and internal requirements
- Ensure proper classification, indexing, and storage of information for accessibility and audit readiness
- Monitor and improve data quality, consistency, and completeness
- Support legal holds and ensure secure handling of confidential information
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation
- Develop and maintain file structures, taxonomies, and classification frameworks
- Partner with business units to ensure adherence to information management standards
- Support digitization and continuous improvement initiatives
Your strengths include:- Diploma or degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in records management, document control, or information governance
- Strong understanding of records lifecycle management, classification systems, and metadata standards
- Experience working with document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Workiva, M-Files) is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of information with accuracy and attention to detail
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
