Job description

Position SummaryBlue Cross Arena is seeking a dependable, flexible, and professional individual to serve as a Part-Time Security Control Room Attendant on an as-needed basis. This position supports the day-to-day security operations of the arena by monitoring building activity, controlling access points, coordinating radio communications, and assisting staff, vendors, and visitors. The position includes three regularly scheduled weekend shifts each week, with additional opportunities to pick up weekday shifts covering employee call-ins, vacations, and other staffing needs.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMonitor and operate security office communications.
  • Answer and relay radio traffic to appropriate staff and departments.
  • Open and monitor the loading dock/security entrance for deliveries, vendors, and authorized personnel.
  • Maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Monitor building access and verify authorized personnel entering restricted areas.
  • Conduct periodic interior and exterior perimeter checks.
  • Unlock and secure designated doors based on daily operational needs.
  • Monitor security cameras and report suspicious or unusual activity.
  • Assist with incident documentation and daily activity reports.
  • Communicate with Operations, Security, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support venue security procedures during events and non-event operations.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Prior security, dispatch, military, law enforcement, venue, or operations experience preferred, but not required.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
