Job Title: Senior OpenText Exstream Developer
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Duration: 6 Months Contract


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior OpenText Exstream Developer to support the development, maintenance, and migration of document composition applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in OpenText Exstream and OpenText Command Center, with experience in validation, testing, and migration activities. This role requires close collaboration with business and technical teams and a strong commitment to quality and reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain document composition applications using OpenText Exstream.
  • Support OpenText Command Center migration activities, including validation and testing.
  • Analyze existing Exstream applications and work with SMEs to assess migration impact.
  • Prepare detailed unit test plans and execute test scripts for both existing and new applications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Support migration activities from OpenText Exstream to Autosys (Autosys experience is a plus).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to document generation and output.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability of solutions.
  • Document technical solutions, configurations, and migration-related activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in OpenText Exstream development.
  • 3–5 years of experience working with OpenText Command Center.
  • Strong experience with Exstream Design Manager, scripting, and template design.
  • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and Shell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of document composition concepts, data integration, and transformation processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting or migrating workloads to Autosys.
  • Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments.
  • Strong documentation and validation experience.
