Job Summary:
MDAEdge is a company focused on providing network engineering support in a global enterprise environment. They are seeking a Tier 3 Network Engineer to provide support for network infrastructure, configuration, troubleshooting, and automation projects across various sites.
Responsibilities:
• Provide Tier 3 support for complex network incidents and minimize downtime.
• Implement network configuration changes, including VLAN updates, switchport changes, and routing adjustments.
• Use network monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Cisco Catalyst Center) to resolve performance issues.
• Manage Palo Alto firewalls and security policies through Panorama.
• Maintain IP address and DNS records via BlueCat IPAM.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure network performance for business applications.
• Work on projects within Agile methodology using JIRA.
• Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a large enterprise.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including: Cisco Catalyst 9300, 9400, 9500, 9600 series switches.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including: Cisco Nexus data center platforms.
• Strong CLI configuration and troubleshooting skills.
• Routing protocols: EIGRP and BGP.
• VRF‐lite for extended security segmentation.
• Basic Cisco Wireless support (verifying trunking/connectivity for Client).
• Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama management.
• Familiarity with firewall concepts, NAT, VPNs, and security policies.
• Experience with BlueCat IPAM for IP address and DNS management.
• Knowledge of Solarwinds and Cisco Catalyst Center for monitoring and management.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Experience in Agile environments using JIRA.
• Strong problem‐solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills for working with technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
• Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE.
• Experience with Python for network automation.
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center Automation and integrations (e.g., Slack bot for VLAN changes).
