Key Responsibilities
  • Entertainment DJs are responsible for creating lasting memories by delivering a guest-centric product experience that aligns with brand standards, health and sanitization protocols, and fostering a positive guest and teammate-centric culture. They create the appropriate soundtrack for key activities, parties, and events, ensuring a safe and healthy environment in accordance with HESS protocols.
  • The DJ takes ownership of a consistent product delivery and applies the Service Excellence philosophy. They collaborate with onboard teammates to provide an outstanding guest experience, spending time with guests, developing rapport, and maintaining a professional appearance. They are a personable communicator with outstanding social and hosting skills, providing a positive first impression, maintaining company standards, and ensuring onboard safety compliance.
  • The DJ takes ownership of their experience area and supports the development, implementation, and execution of initiatives in alignment with the Entertainment leadership team. They anticipate guest needs and requests, offer expertise, and provide music knowledge to enhance the guest experience. They actively learn and are knowledgeable about product, policy, demographic, itinerary, and port information.
  • The DJ ensures the prompt and correct setup, presentation, ambience, and operation of venues, responsibly using consumable items, supporting cost-saving initiatives, and maintaining assigned equipment in good condition. They consistently support and cross-promote all revenue departments.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Candidates for the role of Entertainment DJ must demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental principles of guest experience and hospitality operations. They must also demonstrate a commitment to providing the appropriate soundtrack for key activities and delivering engaging and high quality parties and events.
  • The candidate must have a confident yet charming, charismatic and energetic stage style, as well as a genuine passion and ability to play different styles of music.
  • A comprehensive CV is essential. It is important to provide a concise and easy to read overview of your professional experience. However, if we may make a suggestion, it is often preferable to present a minimalist approach.
  • In addition, a short video presentation is required to demonstrate the candidate's personality, communication and public speaking skills.
