The Music Team, LLC is a creative arts, media, and technology education company specializing in hands-on enrichment programs for K-12 students. Through music, digital media, broadcasting, graphic design, and creative technology, we help students develop creativity, confidence, communication skills, and real-world technical skills.

We partner with schools, after-school programs, summer camps, and community organizations throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut to deliver engaging, project-based learning experiences.

Our team provides the curriculum, equipment, lesson plans, and training—allowing instructors to focus on creating meaningful and exciting experiences for students.

Role Description

The Music Team is hiring multiple energetic, creative, and reliable instructors to lead our Digital Media, Music, and Arts programs at school and community sites across New York City, Hudson County, NJ, and Southern Connecticut.

This is a part-time, on-site role delivering after-school and in-school enrichment programs beginning Fall 2026. Classes are intentionally kept small, typically no more than 10 students, allowing instructors to build strong relationships and provide hands-on support to every student.


Depending on your experience and interests, instructors may teach programs involving:

  • Podcasting & Broadcasting
  • Video Production & Content Creation
  • Digital Storytelling
  • Graphic Design & Digital Art
  • Music Production
  • DJing & Live Mixing
  • Creative Technology Projects
  • Team-Based Media Production Activities

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging, curriculum-based classes in your area of expertise
  • Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Guide students through hands-on creative projects
  • Manage classroom materials and technology equipment
  • Encourage creativity, teamwork, and student participation
  • Support students in completing final projects and presentations
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and site coordinators
  • Represent The Music Team professionally at all program locations


Qualifications

  • Experience in music, digital media, content creation, broadcasting, graphic design, technology, education, or related creative fields
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Comfortable using technology and creative software tools
  • Positive, energetic, and professional attitude
  • Reliable transportation to assigned sites
  • Ability to adapt to different school and after-school environments
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • MUST HAVE CAR (you will be transporting equipment)


Preferred but Not Required

  • Experience working with K-12 students
  • Experience with Canva, OBS Studio, FL Studio, CapCut, or DJ software/controllers (Virtual DJ)
  • Background in education, media, communications, music, design, or creative arts
